Sunday snow

We joined the rest of the country in having some snow on Saturday night.  Very pretty it was too as it fell from the sky, unless you were the muppet walking to the pub for a rare outing for some ale.  I walked into the pub looking like the abominable snowman (blind as well with steamed glasses).  I staggered home much later to be told that we were not going out in the car for a drive on Sunday in this weather.  That put paid for my plans to go photograph some wagons in the Leicester area.  Next morning I bailed out of the house for a quick walk to the station with one of those immortal lines, “Won’t be long, see you soon”.  Four hours later I wandered back in.  Oops.  Alas when I had reached the station to take some photographs of trains in the snow I discovered a distinct lack of snow clearing had taken place by the night shift so I felt a bit guilty stood there snapping away whilst the three staff on duty broke their backs shovelling the white stuff.  Before the guilt took over too much I did get some shots.
