A New Delivery

Yesterday Virgin Trains had another Pendolino delivered courtesy of COLAS rail.  After coming through the tunnel on Sunday, 66 847 picked up the train on Monday 13th February 2012 and powered it towards Manchester Longsight Depot.  The image below shows 66 847 undergoing a crew change at Rugby station.

There were a number of enthusiasts out on this grey morning to record the event with a large amount of frothing taking place.  Whilst everyone else was getting rather excited over the new Pendolino I was taking an interest in other things.

Tucked between 66 847 and 390 056 was a small 2 axle open wagon, with another on the tail of the train, acting as a barrier/coupling adaptor vehicle.
