Rusty Timber

I am off work this week so I found myself on a train to Glasgow Central and then on to Holytown in the search for some wagons on Monday morning.  Mark Franklin of Freightmaster forum and DEMU had sent me a link on googlemaps showing a long line of stored OTA timber wagons.  If you take the time to look at the google link and zoom into the where the wagons are (just north of the A775, between the the A775 and the Argos Distribution Warehouse.) you will see in the line of wagons a Eurospine.   Before going up there I knew the Eurospine had disappeared so the worry was, had the OTAs?  The good news was, no they had not.  By all accounts what they have done is removed the hoppers on the far left, taken the OTAs on the lower line and shunted them onto the top line and pushed them back, whilst at the same time drawing forward the parcels vans.

The weather forecast wasn’t too good but I figured I would not get off my backside if I started to relax on the sofa for a few days so off I went.  After arriving at Holytown a quick walk up the road found myself trudging through some mud and up an embankment.  Once at the top I was met with a long line of stored OTAs.  The list of OTAs can be found below, I have reordered the list to show them in the correct order.  The first on the list can now be found on the far left, with of course the last on the list being on the far right as you stand on the embankment.

The weather did throw a bit of rain at me, the odd shots do have some random raindrops making an appearance on the lens.  Next update will probably be my parcel/mail van collection, along with the ones stored up at Mossend.
