Monty goes travelling, Part III

This update follows on from my previous posts regarding my recent holiday with the other half.  Due to the other half committing me to meeting up with relatives (hers not mine) I had less time than I thought for train business though I could not complain as I got to photograph nearly everything I was after on my primary list.  The first proper day in the peak district found me at Great Rocks Junction in the morning.  Due to not moving fast enough at the camp site we got to Great Rocks Junction later than planned which meant I probably missed JEA BM (Brunner Mond) limestone wagons that run between Tunstead and Northwich.  I still have not photographed these wagons and over the course of the holiday I kept missing them.  Oh well, another time.

The first train which turned up had me smiling, 66 094 on a rake of HJA Bogie Aggregate wagons.  These HJA coded wagons were originally JHA NP coded wagons in the 19400 to 19420 series.  During late 2011/early 2012 they were re-bogied with TF25 bogies and re-entered service having last run in 2008. Since this reincarnation is so recent I had not had the chance to photograph them until now, so that was one set of wagons off the hit list.

The next train to arrive was 6H22 11:08 Tunstead to Hindlow.  This train arrives from around the corner at Tunstead, pulls past the signal box to the run round loop whereupon the locomotive then runs round the train.  It then pulls it back past the signal box before heading off to Hindlow.  Before getting to Hindlow it has to reverse/run round again at the sidings near Buxton station.

I had only managed to photograph a few of these wagons before on a previous trip to Peak Forest when they ran up the line a bit further than normal so I was pleased to be able to photograph a complete rake in action.  As the wagons pull past the junction twice I was able to get side and looking down shots which is useful from a modelling perspective as we traditionally view models in look down mode.
