Deutschland Diesels

The next big European image update is has now started.  I have kicked things off with locomotives this time, including some images of German locomotives from around 1992.  This was the main reason I did not upload German diesels last time after my trip to Hamburg Harburg as I knew I needed to scan my diesel images.  This is now done, but for some images I do not have location information.  If you recognise a location feel free to add a comment or email me, on the flip side, if I have made a mistake please also correct me.  Here we have a DR Class 119, which under unification became DBAG Class 219, nicknamed “U-Boats”

DBAG Class 219, number 219 075-9 sits at Zittau, Germany at some point in the early 1990s

Also uploaded are some shots of a class of locomotive which will be familiar UK readers.  Yes, the dreaded class 66s, or as the Germans have classified them, Class 266.

On the smaller side of things we have an example of some of the chunky diesels that pass through Hamburg Harburg station on various trip workings.

Well enough writing, I need to carry on sorting and uploading images but I might as well end on a bright yellow rabbit.
