Tank Update #1

Well the updates have started and I have also played around a bit with the image website.  There is now a section that shows the most recent images uploaded.  I’ve also tried to address the issue where the preview images show all of the wagon/locomotive instead of only part of it.

Austrian registered bogie tank wagon Zans 33 81 7848 928-6, passes through Aachen West Yard, Germany on the 30th of July 2013

So on with the updates.  Instead of going through country by country like the last major update which meant Switzerland was never done I have this time changed tack.  I am currently updates all the Z coded wagons irrespective of country.  A twofold reason behind this, number one, I like the variation between types of tank wagon.  Reason two, I am planning on going on a shopping trip for some model wagons in the near future and I want my reference images ready for comparison.

Belgium registered Zans 33 88 7836 322-9 passes through the station at Antwerp Berchum, Belgium on the 29th of July 2013

I do like the above wagons, and I especially like the orange weathering on what should be a white tank, an example of a cleaner one can be see below.

Another wagon which caught my eye was this one below, with just the bare steel on show, and compared to many other wagons a lack of brake dust all over.

French registered Zacens 33 87 7932 074-0 passes through Antwerp Berchum in Belgium on the 29th of July 2013

If you go the gallery for the above registered wagon there is one thing to notice, even the few wagons I have photographed of this grouping have a large difference in design.

The following galleries have so far been updated:

Austria – Zacns (7929)Zans (7836)Zans (7837)Zans (7848)

Belgium – Zans (7836)

Czech Republic – Zacns (7838)Zacns (7841)Zagns (7809)

France – Zacens (7932)Zacns (7838)Zacns (7841)Zacns (7929), Zagkks (7915)Zagkks (7916)Zans (7836)Zans (7837)Zans (7848)Zas (7849)Zas (7850)Zas (7855)

More to come…

  1. Rip off mate, didn’t see any Challengers or Scorpions at all.

    • Sorry for misleading you Kev. In my defence you wouldn’t want either type going boom in your face. I am also trying my best to photograph some German military vehicles on trains, would that make you happy?
