The Sightings…

The observant amongst you will notice there is now a new section on the menu bar, “sightings”.  This is where I shall be listing what I saw, where and when.  It only covers freight traffic/light engines or exceptional passenger workings that have an interest to me.

So although I take images of 146s on Metronom workings for example you won’t see them listed.

So back to the “sightings” list.  The actual sightings are taken from my photographs, when I am out and about I don’t write down/record what I see.  Everything is listed after the event when I start to rename the images.   The first set of sightings are presented differently to future sets.  In this first set of lists there are no links to the wagons in the trains, sorry.   This is down to how I filed the images when renaming them.  In future lists the trains are listed as whole items to make searching for them easier.  Where I know the train number, all the images are listed under that train number, if I don’t know the number them they get listed as “un???” with the ? making up a 3 digit number.   Many images taken in Switzerland, mainly around the Erstfeld area are listed by train number.  This is down to the excellent work of Don Gatehouse and others on the Freightmaster Interactive forum, so thank you for that.  Most of my non-swiss entries are listed as un??? as I don’t know the train numbers.  If someone reading this can fill in even one train by looking at the consist of a train or what is hauling it at that time then please email me with the information.  All information greatly received and credited.  If there is a link to the train then the text will be in bright white text. Happy exploring.
