Not so boring Belgium

So I’ve now updated the Belgium collection including locomotives.  The more I look at the image below the more I like it.  Yes I am blowing my own trumpet but it’s not often I take an image that I am really proud of, this is one of them.  I was very lucky with the weather after Paul Smith who I was travelling with suggested we leave Köln West station after the rain had stopped and head over to Gremburg Yard.  Good call as we got moody clouds in the background with sunlight over our shoulder and not once a drop of rain.

TRAXX F140 MS 186 204-4 also known as 2812 departs from Gremburg Yard, Köln, through a patch of sunlight under stormy skies on the 10th October 2013.

As well as pointing the camera at freight workings I have been known to point it at passenger workings.

Siemens ES 64 U4, number 190 050-0 also known as 1905 arrives at Brussels Midi station on double deck stock on the 29th of July 2013.

As well as locomotives it goes without saying that I have photographed many Belgium registered wagons.  One train which caught my eye but not for the wagons but the containers on board was the following at another location visited in 2013, Lehrte near Hanover.  Another great place for freight with a cheap and cheerful hotel just outside the station.

As it says on the box, it's black and it's a box. Sgns 33 88 4557 180-5 forms part of a block train through Lehrte in Germany on the 9th of October 2013.
